SAIL-AWAY PARTY

Let’s get together for a sail-away party as we leave Civitavecchia. We will meet at the Oceanview bar on the Lido deck, aft, deck 14, right after the boat drill (which should occur at 5:15pm).

Cabin Crawl, Equinox TA

I will be happy to be the coordinator of this cabin crawl.

How it works:

This will be a Progressive Open House rather than a group tour.

Depending on number & location of hosting cabins, during a specific half hour, a certain group of cabins (near each other) will be "open" for participants to visit, in any order they choose.  No guides, groups or lines needed; visitors will consult their list of open cabins and times and plan their own visits.

During each half hour, hosts can take turns "hosting" their own cabin to let each other take a quick look at the other cabins in their group.

When their particular half hour is over, the hosts close up and can then participate together in the rest of the Open House.

I will keep track of those offering to host, update the list, will make up a handout with times, cabin locations, and will provide a copy to all of the hosts and participants on board. Hosts and guests will get a handout in their cabin mail slot, early in the cruise.

Please Email me if you would like to participate as host and/or guests.

See the following document for the crawl. This is a work in progress.

REMEMBERANCE DAY/VETERANS DAY,  NOVEMBER 11TH

A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his/her life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his/her life.'  That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today, who no longer understand that fact.

Friends, this is a day where we should take a moment to remember those that served in the military in the past and those serving today to protect our freedom around the world. Please think of something we can do on November 11th, even meeting up for a toast and a, "Thank you for serving our country."

Onboard the Equinox, Veterans had the opportunity to meet every moring at 10:00am at the Passport Bar on Deck 3. Tony, my husband, hung out with several Veterans, including a couple from England. It was a great opportunity for them to meet and chat about their lives.
